Yes, tomorrow I will be heading back to Houston. I view that with mixed feelings. On the one hand, I am having a good time exploring things and learning about everything here, but on the other hand, I really want to get back home. I miss Lou something fierce, I miss my friends and family, and between this and the trip to the US east coast, I have only been home one week in the last month. There is something to be said about just sitting in your recliner in your home.

Today is the presidential inauguration in Mexico and all the cities have pretty much closed down. Because a large portion of the population feels that the election was stolen, widespread protests and violence is expected. Sounds like a fun podcast 🙂

This is from the El Mirador or “lookout.” It offers a great view of the city.

This is from inside the Instituto de Allende. It offers a ton of art and cultural classes for locals. It is a gorgeous place and well worth the time to investigate.

You can click on either of the pictures to go to my flickr account. There are a bunch more photos there.
