Interesting facts from 2018
- It took 20 more plays to make the top 20 this year than last and last year was 10 more than the previous
- Andy Grammar not only took the top spot in 2018, but his track Give Love was my most played song of 2018
- Train is on the list for the seventh straight year (#1 for 2012, 2013 and 2017)
- Billy Currington‘s plays doubled over that of last year and in doing so move up from #7 to #3
- After two years of being Top 5 ( #4 – 2016, #2 – 2017) Chris Stapleton slid out of the top 10 to #15
- The highest ranking artist that wasn’t in last year’s chart was The Eagles at #8
- P!nk remains my #1 all-time but continues to slide on a yearly basis. I think this is a result of her changing music being much more political and much less spunky fun.
- This is the first time in several years the Zac Brown Band didn’t make it into the Top 20.
- This is the first time in four years that Roger Miller didn’t make it into the Top 20. He is my #2 played artist of all-time .
- 9 of the top 20 are Country artists – the same as last year
- There were 461 artists that only received 1 play all year.
