Mackenzie (the one with the big grin and top hat) and her friends from the Katherine Anne Porter School (KAPS) put on a Valentine’s Day dance the other day that not only delivered good music, good food and lots of fun for the kids, but collected much-needed food for the Hays County Food Bank. This dance kicked off their annual campaign to raise food for HCFB. I went along to take some photos at the dance and snapped this one for the press release going out the next day.

I just noticed that one of the local online papers ran their photo along with the press release explaining their good deed. They may not look like Fortune 500 or Captains of Industry, but they had a fun evening and did some good at the same time. Way to go!
We got some family photos taken shortly before Christmas and I just realized that I haven’t shared them on here. An excellent photographer and good friend, Beth Rasmussen, took the shots for us and Dawn organized the outfits etc. I think they turned out great. This first one was one of the toughest to get because someone was always blinking or turning away etc.

These next two are just gorgeous - look at those beautiful kids! The closer one does a great job of showing off those shiny eyes and bright smiles, the further out shows off what a beautiful location we chose for the session. (Gruene, Texas)

I can’t even begin to describe how blessed I feel to have all the changes that have taken place in my life recently. What a great Christmas season!
I found this while surfing for something totally unrelated.

I was rushing out to head to a lunch meeting and had to take a pause and grab a pic of this bike. It definitely proved the San Marcos Square should be referred to as the “Not So Square.”

Good times.
While I was busy at work today, it appears that my dog Lou has been out rubbing shoulders with the brand new First Family. Here he is with the Obama’s

Yes, now that the site is moved over to the new server and new host, I feel a bit more motivated to post. That and the fact that I finally have a decent computer at home again with all my audio and video editing software.
This is another shot I took a while back - while at Buc-ees just outside of Luling, I looked over while gassing up and saw something that would go under the heading of “only in Texas.”

That’s right - while he wasn’t actually putting gasoline into the horses, he was holding his friends mount while he picked up some drinks and beef jerky. I love this state.
