I have been so busy with podcasting that I nearly missed the fact that the spring classics are underway. Paris-Roubaix is over and the Amstel Gold was this last weekend. Liege-Bastogne-Liege is coming up this weekend. I know, I know – there is no Lance Armstrong this year so why would Americans give a damn about cycling? Well, I actually prefer it this way.
It is the way I have followed cycling since the late 70’s – as the freak of American sports… a cycling fan. It sorta felt like the rest of the country was invading my secret spot when Armstrong got all the attention with the Tour de France. I am looking forward to it being a quirky little interest of mine once again. 🙂
I am really looking forward to the Giro d’Italia and of course the Tour de France. I just hope we can get some decent coverage of it now that Lance is not around… I think the Giro coverage has dropped from daily to once a week and I am not even sure who is carrying the Tour de France this year.
Hi Chris – good blog.
I was wondering if you had information about what happened to Team Internet?
I run an internet Cycling Club and it’s going really well and we are thinking of opening up in the US but didn’t want to tread on anyones toes.
