A lot of people ask me where the title, Riding with the window down… came from and because I’m in Texas, when you ride with the window down it is so flipping hot – it doesn’t seem like such a great idea. Seriously, it is around 9 o’clock in the morning it’s almost 90° already so it’s going to be another scorcher.
Where it came from is that, to me – it’s a state of mind. Riding with the window down means to kick back, relax and let it happen. You do what you need to do but let the world do what the world does too! I’m doing that right now – okay, the windows are not down, but I’m driving my vehicle between meetings and using Dragon dictation I’m creating to record this entire blog entry.
You see, it doesn’t have to be a lot of work. You can simply use tools and use down time to be productive. And I’m not talking about going crazy and work, work, work all the time. Definitely take your breaks, but also schedule things around your lifestyle so that you can “ride with the window down,” as it at were.
