Are you missing out on opportunity because of perceived obstacles?  Are you sure they’re real?  Often times, we create problems based on fear of what could happen.  We create all sorts of imaginary outcomes based on worse-case scenarios that we dream up.

“my life has been filled with terrible misfortunes, most of which never happened” – Mark Twain

The old saying goes something like, “regret is the past and fear is the future – focus on the present.”  I am a firm believer in this philosophy when it comes to imaginary negative outcomes.  I tend however, to think of my future as bright and positive, so for me, the saying is modified to, “the past is education, the future is anything you want.”

Soundbites and sayings aside, the biggest obstacles in life are usually imaginary.  Most of the things we see as “showstoppers” in our quests are often just in need of a little reframing.  I believe 100% that we have the power to manifest things in our life but that takes belief and positivity.

“I will have failed when I stop learning. Until then, every outcome is a success!” – Tony Robbins

The next time you see something between you and your goal, take a few minutes to think about other pivots you can make to turn the situation positive.  When you get the habit of looking at the positive side, you will find that it gets easier each time you do it.
