Moms' Night OutMom and I went to see Moms’ Night Out on Mother’s Day and I am finally getting around to reviewing it.  I was expecting just a cheesy little chick-flick but was pleasantly surprised.  It was a fun story with a great message.

Sarah Drew did a great job in the lead role and both Patricia Heaton and  and Logan White did well in support.  The big surprise for me was country singer, Trace Adkins who played a tough biker with a heart of gold.

The story follows some women who just needed a break from the mom thing and decided to take a girls night out.  As you can guess, it doesn’t go as planned, but turns into a really fun romp filled with both frustration and joy.  It is not just a chick flick – okay, that’s not true – it’s totally a chick flick, but it is a good enough movie that guys will like it too.

I really enjoyed the flashes to the husbands left at home to do the mommy thing…  great fun.  The best thing though was that my mom enjoyed the movie as it was her day.
