I am doing my first experience with oDesk – the outsourcing site for various things like programming, etc. While I have had an account there for years, I never really got around to trying it out. So far, it seems pretty easy to use.
For this test, I am doing something extremely simple. I am setting this blog up with the ability for people to people to login with their Facebook credentials. This is an API created by Facebook called Facebook Connect.
You’ve all see it. When you got to a new site, it asked you to sign in/register or Sign in with Facebook. That is what I am setting up on this site.
I don’t do it because I think it will be a valuable addition to Riding with the window down… but because I need to see how easy it is to do, how painless the process is and have it in my bag of tricks for clients that may find it useful.
I will, of course, let you know how it works out and give mad props to the programmer that I hired if it works out well.
