Interesting facts from 2014:
Train was the top artist in 2012 & 2013, but slid way down to #7 this year. The winner this year was Johnny Cash who moved up because of a renewed interest in his songs when reading his biography. Train lost their chance to be my top artists for three straight years despite the fact they released Bulletproof Picasso – it just wasn’t very good. Imagine Dragons made it into the top three with their album. Pink took a tumble four spots but more importantly her total number of plays dropped by more than 300 this year!
This biggest thing I noticed was that the top spot would only have earned #11 last year. It wasn’t because I listened less – it was because I spent most of the year listening to audio books rather than music.
