For the fifth straight year, I am chronicling the songs that I’ve played the most over the past year. This is NOT a list of the most popular tracks in the world, in America or even in my town. These are the tracks that I played the most in 2014.
This is the first year since I started reporting plays that neither Train nor P!nk made it into the list.
Let’s start with the most popular individual songs:

- Ed Sheeran who topped the last last year managed to slide one in this year too.
- Last year all the top 20 songs had over 20 plays, this year only two.
- Chicken Friend – Zac Brown Band has been in the chart for three years in a row.
- Billy Currington had three songs in the list last year and this year one – all different songs.
- Although Johnny Cash had more plays than any artist in 2014, none of his songs made it into the top.
- Train had 0 songs in the list after having 18 in the last two years.
