arrow_NEWThe idea of a live television show about the Green Arrow not only was totally uninteresting to me, but seemed downright lame.  I decided to give it a shot though and wow… it’s actually pretty good.

Being much more of a Marvel comics fan while growing up, DCs Green Arrow never appealed to me.  Heck, the only DC character I have ever really liked was the Flash (look for review of that show soon.)

The pilot seemed a bit weak but by sticking with the story for a few episodes, I was hooked.  I have to say now that it is one of the best live action superhero television shows ever… yeah, it’s that good.

The only real problem I had with the show early on was the sheer volume of cute brunette female characters – I was seven episodes in before I could tell them apart!

I really dig the back story flashbacks that follow Oliver Queen while he was shipwrecked and stranded on an island that sharpened him into the weapon he backs – the Arrow.  The strategy of taking super heroes and villains out of the bright spandex suits and giving them realistic stories/skills/gifts makes them much more believable and interesting.

What do you think?  Do you watch Arrow?  I am still in Season  One, so please… no spoilers!
