- 16th – recycled 4 boxes I was saving for the off chance I would need to mail something in them, recycled 6 manuals from appliances I no longer have, returned 6 unopened coaxial cables to Time Warner, listed 13 items on Amazon but I will not count those until they actually sell and leave my house – 16 total items (124)
- 17th – sold 3 books on Amazon – 3 total items (127)
- 18th – as I am leaving town for a week, it will be difficult to minimize things for a while. I expect I will fall way behind in my goal during this trip.
Goal: 153 things
Status: 127 things
I started to fall behind around the 12th and then doubled-down to try and speed up my giving/selling/trashing. It’s really hard to find a dozen things a day to give away!
Need help getting rid of stuff yourself? Here a few helpful links:
- Amazon – if it is new or in good shape, you can resell many things here
- Ebay – ditto
- Craigslist – you can sell pretty much anything here (be warned, not policed very well for bizarre/inappropriate stuff
- Freecycle – Great place to give away things that still have value. I used to freecycle quite a bit back when I lived in Houston but it is available all over the world.
