Let me start by saying I love Tony Robbins. I have been a fan since I first saw one of his infomercials as a teenager. His books are inspirational, his fire is contagious, his vision is uplifting. I have loved every one of his books… until this one.

I picked up MONEY Master the Game: 7 Simple Steps to Financial Freedom mainly because it was Robbins. My second motivating factor was that I love books about finance, personal management and investing. MONEY had all of this… but in very little pieces.

Yes, I made it all the way through this huge book despite my growing doubt it would deliver what I wanted. What it delivered more than anything was a constant push to download the app and contact his trusted financial advisers. It was frankly, the longest sales pitch I have ever read. At least with the infomercials, you were treated to Tony tossing out inspirational nuggets and getting you fired up.  I listed to the audiobook version and it DIDN’T EVEN HAVE TONY READING IT! Geez

They take the one thing that could have saved the book and removed it from the audio version – Tony.

Although I was disappointed, this is NOT a bad book. If you have no background in finance or investing, this is a great place to start. Also, there is just enough motivation included to get a beginner off dead center and headed in the right direction. If you are looking for deep insight or a full serving of Tony Robbins however, you will still be hungry after reading.
