Yes, Black Friday will still be a big deal but the trend is increasingly that retailers are trying to get an early start. Target too, is starting their Christmas sales season early. They have a sneak peek (early sale) also including Buy 2, Get 1 Free on board games, video games and more.

For me, although I would like to try out a video game like Red Dead Redemption II, I was never going to buy it at full price. I am not that hardcore of a gamer and won’t buy anything at full price. I am sure not going to buy two full price games just to get one free.

Amazon deals are right now while the Target sneak peek is actually a look at what will be on sale for BF.  Target RedCard holders will have access to those deals early (November 21st.) Are these retailers that break the tradition a signal that Black Friday is going away? I don’t think so, but I do think this attempt to jump the gun will have short term positive effects for the cheaters, but will soon become so crowded that BF may actually just move to the day after Halloween.

What are your thoughts? Will this cause you to jump out and find these discounts on things like the line of Amazon smart devices or Target games?
