How to Win Friends and Influence People in the Digital Age by Dale Carnegie (and Brent Cole) at first appeared to be nothing more than a new paint job on an old story. After all, the original has been a classic since 1936.

I thought this was likely a cash grab way for the owners of his copyrights to make more money. I was sure this would be the same book with “use these techniques on the Internet ” slapped on each paragraph.

Not only was it great to reconnect with the content of the original Carnegie book, the added “digital age” information was much more than a paint job. Cole, who added the updated content, did an excellent job. It works seamlessly with the timeless classical wisdom of Carnegie’s original text.
