The book Red Team: How to Succeed by Thinking Like the Enemy by Micah Zenko was a book that I thought would like more than I did. It could be that Red Team thinking has long been a part of my business and personal life and I was expecting more.
As an introduction to the concept, this is a really good read. But, if you are already accustomed to thinking “outside the box” and playing “Devil’s Advocate,” then it kinda drones on at times. It lacked real detail and felt more like a collection of anecdotes about how his team came in a solved yet another companies issues. As a PR piece for his practice, it is good. As a detailed approach to implement Red Teaming, it was lacking.
If the concept is new to you or you don’t really understand, this is a great place to start.
