Interesting facts from 2019

  • Maroon 5 grabbed the top spot for the first time since 2016 and their second time ever.  They have only missed being in the Top 25 one time since I started tracking
  • It took 8 less plays to make the top 25 this year than last
  • The Hope County Choir is an odd one to make my list but their music from the video game Far Cry prompted me to download and listen to their stuff
  • Andy Grammar last year’s #1 artist, dropped all the way to #15
  • Train is on the list for the eighth straight year (#1 for 2012, 2013 and 2017)
  • 10 of the Top 25 artists were not in the last year’s chart – 1 less than last year
  • The highest ranking artist that wasn’t in last year’s chart was The Bob Seger at #6
  • 10 of the top 20 are Country artists – one more than last year
